Pay Range: $27.40 - $36.57 - Hourly – Depending on Experience

Job is:
Classified Schedule 35 hours per week

Our Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Meets one‑on‑one with students (and parents, if required/desired) to discuss post‑secondary goals
  • Assists teachers in creating individualized plans for students to reach their goal(s) and track students in the case management system
  • Coordinates workshops or seminars quarterly to help inform students and teachers of their post‑secondary options and equip students with specific skills required for post‑secondary life (i.e., interviewing skills, filling out job or college applications, etc.) and coordinate internal marketing of credit enrichment events
  • Creates timely hand‑outs (or posters) for teachers and students regarding requirements for specific student options
  • Identify WIOA eligibility, train internal regional staff on WIOA requirements, coordinate WIOA orientation appointments, and act as the primary contact for WIOA, CTE, and vocational programs and local partners
  • Coordinates, plans, and advertises Workforce Events (Engineering and Design Challenges & Business and Entrepreneurial)
You’ll Need The Following

Minimum Requirements:
  • BA/BS Degree
  • California 30‑day Substitute permit preferred
  • Bilingual - Spanish preferred

OFY is a free non‑profit public charter school serving students grades 7‑12 who have fallen behind in school, are looking to get ahead and graduate early, or merely desire a non‑traditional learning environment. OFY’s founders, John and Joan Hall, started the program in 1987 to provide at‑risk and underserved students an alternative to traditional learning methods. OFY’s blended learning model allows students, teachers, and families the freedom to design an individualized learning plan for each student based on his or her strengths, weaknesses, college and career goals, and schedule outside of school.

OFY’s program places great emphasis on the student‑teacher relationship, a critical component to the development of students’ personal, emotional, and academic well‑being.
