MidPoint Church is seeking a full-time Children's Pastor who is passionate about Jesus, children, families, and developing leaders. The Children's Pastor will oversee the church's children's ministry, create a safe and engaging environment for children to grow in their faith, and partner with parents to disciple the next generation.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and lead the church’s children's ministry from nursery through 5th grade.
- Recruit, train, schedule, equip, and pastor children's ministry volunteers and leaders.
- Plan and coordinate weekly children's services, lessons, activities, and special events.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate, Bible-centered curriculum and teaching
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with volunteers, parents, and church leadership.
- Oversee children's ministry schedules, classrooms, curriculum, supplies, and resources.
- Manage volunteer background checks, permission forms, and other required child-safety documentation.
- Maintain records and ensure CPR and First Aid certifications remain current for all required children's ministry volunteers, coordinating renewals as needed.
- Ensure children's ministry policies and safety procedures are consistently followed.
- Plan and oversee special events such as Vacation Bible School, Christmas program, other programs, camps, outreaches, and family events.
- Participate in and help coordinate church-wide and community-wide outreach initiatives designed to reach children and families.
- Partner with parents by providing resources and opportunities to help families disciple their children at home.
- Work closely with the Senior Pastor and Director of Ministries to support the overall mission and vision of the church.
- Participate in pastoral ministry and provide spiritual care, prayer, and encouragement to children and families as needed.
- Assist with church-wide social media and communication initiatives as needed.
- Utilize Canva and Adobe Creative Suite to create graphics, promotional materials, and digital content.
- Demonstrate familiarity with Planning Center and Kid Check for scheduling, communication, registrations, and ministry organization.
- Have a working knowledge of Pro Presenter and basic lighting and sound systems.
- Work with staff and volunteers to ensure consistent branding and communication across ministry platforms.
- Genuine and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Clear calling to children's and pastoral ministry.
- Passion for discipling children and reaching families.
- Experience working with children and leading volunteers.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to recruit, train, equip, and develop ministry teams.
- Experience or familiarity with Planning Center, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Pro Presenter, social media platforms, and basic audio/lighting systems.
- Commitment to child safety and appropriate church policies and procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively with pastors, staff, parents, volunteers, and ministry leaders.
- Commitment to the beliefs, mission, and ministry philosophy of MidPoint Church.
