Location: Northern

The Part‑time Apprentice Electrical Lineman Instructor is responsible for providing students with effective, efficient, and high‑quality skills that are needed for employment in various electrical utility industries. Instruction will occur in multiple environments including classroom, indoor, and outdoor lab settings to evaluate student knowledge and progress toward skill attainment.

Job Duties

Teach assigned subject matter while modeling professionalism, good citizenship, respect for others, and care for College property.

Conduct classes as scheduled, maintaining full instructional time.

Follow established examination schedules unless prior approval is obtained.

Collaborate with supervisors to align classroom instruction with on-the-job skill requirements.

Foster positive relationships with students, industry partners, and the community.

Participate in industry events and activities as invited.

Abide by all Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and state policies and procedures.

Communicate concerns or issues to the Workforce Director to ensure compliance with training agreements.

Maintain all documentation for training as required by Accelerate MS guidelines, MGCCC policies and procedures, and other governmental agencies and organizations.

Perform additional duties as assigned by College administration.

Mandatory Qualifications

(M1) Minimum high school equivalency.
(M2) Training and/or experience in electric linework.
(M3) Demeanor, training, and skill to deal with a variety of individuals and groups in varying degrees of professional situations.

Desirable Qualifications

(D1) Experience teaching on secondary or post-secondary level.
