The Retention Specialist for the TRiO Program will coordinate and manage retention efforts to enhance student persistence, academic progress, and degree completion through personalized coaching, workshops, and referrals to resources. Using the College's Early Alert Program and other resources, they will provide timely support to TRiO students facing academic challenges to prevent probation and dismissal. They will also offer one-on-one coaching and guidance, helping students navigate academic, personal, and career goals, while also tracking their progress and providing follow-up.
The position will be responsible for traveling to all Butte College satellite campuses and will involve some required work on evenings; provide hands‑on student support through individualized coaching, proactive outreach, and connection to on‑campus and community resources; track student engagement and retention data; serve as a consistent, welcoming presence in the TRiO office and collaborates with…
