Marching Auxiliary ; stipend

• Teach and rehearse choreography for color guard, dance line, and/or majorette routines that complement the band's field show and music
• Instruct auxiliary members in equipment technique (flag, rifle, sabre, pom, etc.) and dance fundamentals appropriate to skill level
• Collaborate with the Band Director and drill designer to align visual staging with the overall marching show concept
• Plan and lead summer band camp sessions and pre-season tryouts/clinics for auxiliary members
• Attend and supervise all marching band rehearsals, football games, competitions, and related performances
• Maintain auxiliary equipment and uniforms, including inventory and basic repairs
• Establish and enforce rules of conduct, safety procedures, and performance standards for the auxiliary unit
• Communicate regularly with students, parents/guardians, and band booster organizations regarding schedules and expectations
• Support recruitment efforts to build and sustain auxiliary unit membership
• Travel with the marching band to away games, competitions, and other performances as required
• Assist with fittings, choreography clinics, and other events as needed throughout the season

• Prior experience in color guard, dance team, drill team, or majorette performance and/or instruction
• Ability to choreograph and teach movement and equipment work to students of varying skill levels
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom/rehearsal management skills
• Ability to pass a background check per district policy
• Previous experience coaching a scholastic or competitive marching auxiliary program
• Familiarity with marching band competition circuits and adjudication standards

Salary outlined in Cairo Association of Teachers contract.
