High School Science

Pecatonica High School has one Science teacher opening beginning in the  school year. The ideal candidate will teach the assigned sections based on strengths, experience, licensure, and interest. The current science sections for this position include:
Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy & Physiology, Forensics as well as a couple sections of AP coursework.

The candidate should be able to provide interactive and engaging lessons, use data to drive instruction, and be collaborative with staff, and demonstrate professionalism in the assigned duties. Licensure to teach the assigned subject areas at the high school level. Additional considerations will be given to candidates able to teach sections of AP coursework.

Per the five-year PNA, the base salary will be at least $42,000. Will be negotiating a new contract this school year. The district pays full TRS on top of the base salary and also pays 70% of single insurance. Candidates with additional coursework and experience will be placed accordingly on the salary schedule.

Extracurricular duties may be available if interested and qualified. This position is open due to the current staff member retiring at the end of this school year.
