Job Summary

Kentucky Christian University is accepting applications for an ongoing need for adjunct faculty to teach in-person and online courses in the School of Business and Leadership beginning January 1, 2026. Programs offered include the Bachelor of Business Administration with emphases in Sports Management, Strategic Management, Social Entrepreneurship, and Accounting.

Reporting Relationship

Adjunct faculty in the School of Business and Leadership report to the Dean of the School of Business and Leadership.

Education and Experience
  • Master’s degree required, with at least 18 graduate semester hours in business, management, leadership, accounting, or a closely related field.
  • Professional industry experience strongly preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Teach, guide, and evaluate students enrolled in assigned course(s).
  • Assist in developing, instructing, evaluating, and revising assigned course(s) to enhance educational quality.
  • Work collaboratively with the School of Business and Leadership faculty and the Dean.
  • Be available to students outside scheduled class sessions or virtual meetings to clarify content and respond to concerns.
  • Serve in an advisory role to the School of Business and Leadership in continuing quality improvement efforts.
  • Comply with all policies, rules, and regulations outlined in the Kentucky Christian University Faculty Handbook.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to teach introductory and advanced business, management, accounting, or leadership concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to integrate biblical principles with business and leadership instruction.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in person, by phone, by email, and through virtual technologies.
  • Ability to develop course materials, assignments, and assessments aligned with program learning outcomes.
  • Ability to evaluate student work fairly and consistently.
  • Ability to follow written, oral, or electronic instructions and work with minimal supervision.
  • Competence with computer technology and familiarity with the Canvas learning management system.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of students and institutional information.
Other Ergonomic Requirements
  • The position may require sitting, standing, reaching, bending, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and similar physical functions associated with office and classroom tasks.
  • Candidates should be able to perform these movements without significant risk of injury or explain how essential functions will be performed with reasonable accommodation.
