Middle School ELA Teacher

Iman Academy Southeast, an Islamic school located in Webster, Texas (near Houston), is hiring a full-time Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher. The position began August 3, 2026, and applications are still being accepted for the current school year.

As an ELA teacher, you will plan and deliver high-quality classroom instruction in English Language Arts to middle school students. This role involves developing curriculum aligned with academic standards, regularly assessing student progress through formative and summative methods, maintaining effective classroom management, and fostering a values-based learning environment rooted in the school's Islamic mission.

• Design and deliver engaging ELA curriculum aligned with academic standards
• Regularly assess student progress and adapt instruction based on assessment data
• Maintain an effective, nurturing classroom environment
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school-wide initiatives
• Communicate regularly with families about student academic and personal development
• Cultivate a learning environment that integrates Islamic character formation

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• 2-3 years of prior teaching experience
• Strong classroom management capabilities
• Excellent communication skills with students and families
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Texas teaching certification (preferred but not required)
• Familiarity with Islamic culture and values (preferred)
