Position Summary

Assumption Academy is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Classroom Aide to support its dedicated faculty and students. This part-time position offers flexible hours and is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children in a nurturing, faith-filled Catholic school environment.

The Classroom Aide will work closely with classroom teachers to support instruction, student supervision, classroom activities, and special projects while helping create a positive and engaging learning environment.

• Assist the classroom teacher with daily instructional and classroom activities.
• Provide individual and small-group support to students.
• Help maintain a positive, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
• Supervise students during designated times as assigned.
• Prepare classroom materials and resources.
• Assist teachers with classroom projects and special activities.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Foster a welcoming classroom atmosphere that reflects the mission and values of Catholic education.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by school leadership.

• High school diploma.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff.
• Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Assumption Academy.
• Successful completion of all required background checks.
• VIRTUS® training or willingness to complete the required training before employment.

• Previous experience working with children.
• Experience in a classroom or educational setting.
• Interest in supporting children's academic, social, and personal development.
