Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Technology Aide will assist on any day by:
- Assist patrons and staff with computers, printers, and technology resources to improve satisfaction and reduce wait times for techsupport, ensuring that users can complete tasks efficiently.
- Provide basic technology-based instructional sessions for individuals and small groups to enhance their confidence and proficiency inusing library technology, leading to increased usage of tech resources among participants.
- Create instructional materials tailored to library technology system sand tools. This will enhance staff learning to better support our patrons and utilize the available technology at the library.
- Perform a comprehensive inventory check of all computer-related equipment to enhance maintenance planning, identify equipment needs, and improve resource management.
- Conduct regular updates and maintenance on public computers,printers, laptops, and WiFi hotspots to ensure the reliability and functionality of all technology resources, reducing downtime and enhancing user experience.
- Participate in various technology-related projects as needed, such assetting up new equipment or implementing new software.
- Continuously improving the library's technological offerings to makeit a more attractive and accessible resource for the community.
