Job Description

Tuttle Christian Church in Tuttle, OK is seeking a Student Minister. The Student Minister will lead Tuttle Christian Church’s ministry to students in grades 6–12, creating a Christ-centered culture where students are known, discipled, challenged to grow, and equipped to live out their faith. This position will build meaningful relationships with students, partner with and equip parents, and recruit, train, and shepherd a strong team of adult volunteers.

• Weekly Student Ministry programming,
• Sunday morning classes,
• Small groups,
• Camps,
• Retreats,
• Outreach activities, and
• Other seasonal events;
• Managing scheduling and the Student Ministry budget; and
• Researching or developing culturally relevant, doctrinally sound curriculum.
• The Student Minister will
  • Disciple students toward spiritual growth and leadership,
  • Engage with students outside regularly scheduled programs, and
  • Build relationships with teachers, coaches, and other community leaders.

• The ideal candidate is a relational and spiritually mature leader who can build trust with students while maintaining healthy boundaries and providing strong pastoral leadership.
• Candidates should demonstrate humility, coachability, strong communication and leadership skills, and a desire to continue growing as a pastor, speaker, and leader.
• A bachelor’s degree in ministry from a Restoration Movement college and 3–5 years of ministry experience are preferred.
• Candidates should be ordained or willing to be ordained and actively attending a Restoration Movement church.

• This is a 40–45 hour-per-week position with Fridays off and participation in weekly staff meetings.
• The Student Minister will join a supportive congregation and leadership team alongside 20+ committed adult Student Ministry volunteers.
• TCC currently serves 140+ students in grades 6–12, with more than 275 children and students participating in Wednesday night programming.
