Our employment program requires a dedicated staff that is committed to supporting and training students in learning skills related to social, community, and vocational readiness, as well as independent living
Responsibilities- Develop curriculum/activities to meet developmental goals and instructional activities
- Prepare lesson plans and structure daily routine for students
- Direct Para-Professionals in classroom with daily/weekly job tasks
- Allocate 90% of time with students teaching daily-life skills
- Exercise open and respectful communication with families, co-workers, supervisors, and other school staff
- Measure progress and accomplishments of students towards their academic achievements on a regular basis, providing progress reports as required
- Create and keep records on attendance, accidents, incidents, and other noteworthy events in accordance with program policies
- Manage student behavior in accordance with outlined guidelines
- Provide a safe, thriving, and respectful environment for all students in the classroom/school campus
- Perform other duties as assigned with Vocational and Day Services when school is not in session
- Experience working with people with disabilities
- Ability to build effective/professional relationships with families and students
- Experience developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum
- Proven ability to maintain a safe a studious classroom environment
- Ability to build effective/professional relationships
- Highly developed oral/written communication
- Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer software applications such as Microsoft Word

Salary Range: $38,000 - $45,000
