OVERVIEW St. John's University is seeking a Site Coordinator for the Upward Bound program in New York, New York. This federally funded initiative supports low-income and first-generation student populations as they prepare for high school graduation and continued college participation. The role focuses on coordinating services, supporting outreach efforts, and helping participants navigate academic and college readiness processes. The position requires experience working with disadvantaged student populations and a strong understanding of academic advising, counseling, and student affairs.
The Site Coordinator will collaborate with program leadership and contribute to student support, reporting, and program operations.
- Assist the Project Director with program operations
- Supervise staff involved with the Upward Bound program
- Support student recruitment and outreach activities
- Coordinate support services for participating student populations
- Monitor student attendance and college and career planning activities
- Maintain participant records and documentation
- Support reporting and data collection
Help guide participants through the college application and financial aid process
Requirements- Experience working with disadvantaged student populations
- Experience in academic advising, counseling, or student affairs
- Knowledge of the college application process
