Our Opportunity:

The Nursing Student Success Navigator will provide support to Purdue University Global’s School of Nursing. Building on Purdue University's mission to provide greater access to affordable, high-quality education, Purdue University Global is a public, nonprofit institution offering a world-class education online.

Purdue Global's School of Nursing is committed to preparing compassionate, competent, practice-ready nurses through innovative, student-centered education. The Nursing Student Success Navigator (NSSN) serves as a master's-prepared nurse educator who partners with students throughout their educational journey—from entry into the nursing program through graduation, NCLEX-RN success, and transition into professional nursing practice.

Success in this role is measured by the Navigator's ability to establish trusted relationships that promote student engagement, persistence, timely progression, graduation, and successful NCLEX-RN licensure.

Successful candidates in this role will reside in the Council Bluffs, IA, area or within a commutable distance. The clinical site is located at CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs Hospital 800 Mercy Drive, Council Bluffs, IA 51503.

Job Summary:

The Nursing Student Success Navigator (NSSN) provides longitudinal advising, coaching, and individualized support throughout the nursing student lifecycle. The Navigator establishes meaningful relationships with students through proactive communication, personalized academic coaching, NCLEX preparation, and ongoing professional mentorship.

Working collaboratively with faculty, Academic Program Heads, Student Services, and School of Nursing leadership, the NSSN monitors student progression, identifies barriers to success, coordinates timely interventions, and develops individualized success plans that promote academic achievement and professional readiness.

The NSSN serves as the primary point of continuity throughout the student's educational experience by providing scheduled and just-in-time support through both synchronous and asynchronous communication. This hybrid role requires flexibility to provide support virtually and on-site, recognizing that advising, faculty collaboration, student engagement activities, and program priorities require a variable Nursing Center presence throughout the academic year.
