Long-Term Substitute Math Teacher (October-January)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Instruction and supervision of all students
• Teach district-approved curriculum
• Provide a clear purpose for instruction through high student engagement, a knowledge of the curriculum and pedagogy, and use research-based strategies; understand all forms of assessment and how to use these assessments to drive instruction, provide a positive classroom environment and culture that is conducive for all students to learn, and collaborate and communicate effectively with all stakeholders involved
• Implement Michigan State Standards through effective instructional practices
• Work as a team member to help our students build success stories

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Help monitor hallways and school grounds
• Be involved in after-school and extra-curricular activities
• Keep accurate classroom records and communicate effectively
• Attend conferences and workshops to keep current on professional development
• Work as a collaborative team member looking to grow as an educator and teacher

TEACHING

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Math Endorsement (EX) for appropriate grade levels preferred
