(One position available per School, maximum 8 hours per week, 12 weeks per semester.)

Purpose of Position: Faculty Support

Job Duties and Responsibilities: The Student Advisor to the School Chair is responsible for leading the School Student Advisory Team and attending monthly School meetings. This student will be the primary liaison to the faculty school chair, who leads the school's mission and student belonging efforts. The student in this position will meet with the group of student advisors from other schools to coordinate and collaborate, and will set regular times to engage with student members to hear their feedback to inform the school chair.

Wage rate: $16.80/hr

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Pacific University undergraduate student
  • Qualifies for federal work study funding for the  academic year (preferred, but not required)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Able to manage and maintain sensitive and confidential information, ensuring it is handled securely and in compliance with FERPA regulations and Pacific University's policies and procedures
  • Possesses good oral and written communication skills, and excellent customer service skills including the ability to work with diverse populations of students, staff, faculty, and community members
  • Self-motivated
  • Serves as an information source to students, staff, faculty, and community members
