OVERVIEW The University of New Mexico Global Education Office (GEO) is seeking a full-time Study Abroad and Exchange Advisor to support students pursuing international education opportunities. This role focuses on advising students interested in study abroad and student exchange programs while coordinating with overseas partners and program providers. The position also supports GEO strategic goals related to diversity, education, and Generation Study Abroad goals.

Key

responsibilities
  • Advise students about study abroad and student exchange opportunities
  • Select and prepare students for abroad experiences
  • Maintain close working relationships with exchange partners and program providers overseas
  • Manage a large portfolio of programs, including bilateral exchanges
  • Oversee study abroad programs and faculty-led programs
  • Support national exchange initiatives
  • Manage additional projects as assigned
  • Contribute to the strategic goals and mission of the University of New Mexico and GEO
  • Support diversity and Generation Study Abroad goals
Requirements
  • Experience advising students about study abroad and exchange opportunities
  • Ability to manage multiple education abroad programs and projects
  • Ability to maintain relationships with overseas exchange partners and program providers
