Job Description

Amplify is seeking part-time Leadership Consultants with experience leading instructional improvement, curriculum implementation, organizational change, and district strategy. Leadership Consultants partner with district leaders to translate ambitious goals into practical decisions, implementation plans, and sustained action that improves outcomes for educators and students.

This role is an opportunity for experienced education leaders, strategy consultants, implementation experts, and senior professional learning leaders to serve as trusted thought partners to district leadership teams. Leadership Consultants bring strategic perspective, instructional expertise, facilitation skill, and the ability to navigate complex systems with credibility and care.

Essential Responsibilities

Leadership Consultants will lead high-value engagements with district leaders, helping partners build the conditions for coherent, impactful and sustainable implementation.

In this role, you will:

  • Advise district and school-system leaders on implementation strategy, instructional priorities, and organizational change related to Amplify CKLA 2nd Edition or 3rd Edition (PreK-5th grade), Amplify Desmos Math (K-12), or Amplify Science (PreK-8th grade)-.
  • Facilitate executive-level working sessions that result in clear decisions, aligned direction, and defined next steps.
  • Diagnose partner needs in real time and tailor recommendations to the district’s context, readiness, priorities, and constraints.
  • Connect research-aligned instructional frameworks—including the Improvement Science, Change Management, Science of Reading, Science of Writing, and Multi-Tiered System of Supports—to implementation goals.
  • Help leaders anticipate and address implementation barriers such as capacity building, stakeholder buy-in, competing initiatives, pacing, and sustainability.
  • Use district-level data, including imperfect or incomplete data, to create urgency, focus priorities, and guide action planning.
  • Connect professional learning and implementation support to system-wide goals, resource decisions, student outcomes, and short & long-term strategy.
  • Navigate complex stakeholder dynamics with tact, political awareness, and attention to how decisions will be understood across the system.
  • Provide practical tools, examples, and implementation guidance grounded in firsthand experience with schools, districts, or education systems.
  • Prepare for engagements and complete related administrative deliverables accurately and on time.
  • Participate in onboarding, calibration, coaching, and ongoing development to maintain consulting quality and deepen knowledge of Amplify’s programs and services.
  • Represent Amplify with professionalism and build trusted, productive relationships with partners and internal teams.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in education, organizational leadership, public policy, business, or a related field.
