Job/Department Summary:
Under the general direction of the Dean of the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, the Associate Dean assists the Dean in leading the departments, programs, and centers to carry out the College's mission and goals in conjunction with the University's strategic plan. The Associate Dean serves as the primary operations administrator of the College and is a key member of the College leadership team, along with the Department Chairs, School Director, and Center Directors.
The Associate Dean will represent the College in the absence of the Dean and works with other university administrators to achieve common goals and outcomes.
Education and Experience:
Doctorate or appropriate terminal degree in a social science related discipline. Teaching, scholarly and creative activity, and service experience sufficient to be tenured in a discipline in the college.
Preferences:Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:
- Familiarity with CSU Chico's academic policies.
- Experience with student retention.

CSU Classification Salary Range:$82,692 - $265,428 per year.
