Location: Northern
Saint Isaac Jogues Church, a Northeast Baltimore County Parish, seeks candidates for the position of Coordinator of Formation Ministries. The Coordinator of Formation Ministries plans, directs and implements religious education, youth ministry, sacramental preparation and spiritual growth and enrichment programs for children,youthandfamilies. The Coordinator of Formation Ministries will be givena schedule that will include days, evenings and weekends as needed by the Pastor.
This is a full-time,benefit eligible position.
- The Coordinator of Formation Ministries plans, implements, and evaluates the parish program of catechetical instruction and faith formation for children and youth, pre-K through 12th grade and adults
- Organization ofregistrationandre-registrationofallstudents
- Ensurethe Safe Environmentrequirements (Virtus Certification}, policies, and mandates for Parish Faith Formation volunteers are in compliance with Archdiocesan standards
- Annualpreparationof andresponsiblemanagementof abudget,whichis approved by the Finance Committee, for all incomeandexpensesrelatedto the Faith Formation Program in collaboration with the Parish Manager
- Schedule, organize, and oversee Baptism Preparation, First Reconciliation, First Communion, & Confirmation catechesis and preparation classes
- Planthe First Reconciliationand First Communion liturgiesandasuitable reception aftertheliturgiesforthechildrenandtheirparents
- Maintainmembership and active involvement in professional associations of religious educators, including the National Conference of Catechetical Leadership {NCCL},Baltimore Area Catechetical Minister Association (BACM).
- High School Youth Ministry .
- Plan,coordinate, and implementyouth social meetings and retreats (i.e.weekly youth drop-in nights).
- Provideopportunities for the youth to be involved in Outreach andParish
Ministries. - Assistthe pastorinpreparingliturgicalcelebrationsfocusedontheyouth.
- Practicinganddevoted Catholicwhoisfullyabletoparticipateinthe sacramental life of the Church.
- Bachelor’sDegree,preferably in
Theology,Religious Studies,Pastoral Ministry,
or related field. - Excellentinterpersonalcommunicationskills.
- Abilitytodirect,form,andmanagevolunteers.
