Part-Time Doctoral Faculty – Artificial Intelligence

Ed.D. in Leadership and Artificial Intelligence Anderson University’s International Graduate School invites applications for part-time doctoral faculty in Artificial Intelligence to teach in the University’s Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Leadership and Artificial Intelligence.

The Ed.D. in Leadership and Artificial Intelligence is a professional doctorate designed for experienced professionals who will lead organizations through the opportunities, challenges, and transformations created by artificial intelligence. The program integrates advanced leadership study with artificial intelligence, digital transformation, cybersecurity, ethics, organizational innovation, and applied doctoral research.

Anderson University is particularly interested in scholar-practitioners and accomplished AI professionals who combine appropriate doctoral credentials with significant real-world experience in artificial intelligence and related technologies. Because artificial intelligence is a rapidly developing field, Anderson University values both academic preparation and substantive professional experience. Candidates are not required to hold a doctorate specifically titled “Artificial Intelligence”. However, candidates must possess an earned terminal degree and demonstrate significant academic and/or professional expertise appropriate to the doctoral course or courses they would teach.

Anderson University is recruiting faculty qualified to teach one or more of the following courses:

  • LEAI 701 – Foundations of AI:
    History and Development
  • LEAI 740 – Machine Learning and Generative AI
  • LEAI 750 – AI Ethics and Responsible Use
  • LEAI 760 – Cybersecurity, Privacy, and AI Risk Management
  • LEAI 770 – Leading Change through Digital Transformation and AI Innovation
  • LEAI 780 – Applied Doctoral Research Seminar in Leadership and AI
  • LEAI 790 – Capstone Project
Minimum Qualifications
  • An earned terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.D.,

    D.Sc., D.B.A.,

    D.Eng., D.C.S., or other appropriate doctorate) from an appropriately accredited institution.
  • Graduate education, scholarship, research, and/or significant professional expertise related to the course or courses to be taught.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary artificial intelligence and its application within organizations.
  • The ability to teach and mentor students at the doctoral level in an academically rigorous and professionally relevant environment.
  • The ability to teach effectively in online, hybrid, and intensive-residency formats.
  • A commitment to supporting the mission and values of Anderson University.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Significant professional experience implementing or leading artificial intelligence initiatives in business, government, healthcare, education, technology, cybersecurity, consulting, nonprofit organizations, or other sectors.
  • Expertise in generative AI, large language models, machine learning, AI-enabled analytics, AI agents and workflows, predictive systems, or emerging AI technologies.
  • Experience with enterprise AI implementation, digital transformation, technology strategy, organizational innovation, or AI-enabled decision-making.
  • Expertise in AI governance, ethics, privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, responsible AI, or AI risk management.
  • Graduate or doctoral-level teaching experience.
  • Experience supervising dissertations, doctoral research, applied research, or executive-level capstone projects.
  • Evidence of continuing engagement with the rapidly evolving AI field through scholarship, applied projects, consulting, industry leadership, professional certifications, professional development, or other substantive activities.
