Location: Northern
Charlotte Chinese Baptist Church (CCBC) is seeking a full-time Chinese Ministry Pastor to shepherd and develop our Mandarin-speaking congregation in Charlotte, North Carolina. CCBC is a Southern Baptist church with Chinese and English ministries and a desire to proclaim the gospel, make disciples, and serve our community.
Responsibilities- Shepherd the Chinese congregation and work collaboratively with the English pastor, deacons, and ministry leaders.
- Preach and teach regularly in Mandarin; lead worship services, Sunday school, small groups, prayer meetings, and discipleship.
- Administer baptism and communion, provide pastoral visitation and care, and offer premarital, marriage, and family counseling as appropriate.
- Equip leaders, encourage evangelism and missions, and help develop the next generation of ministry leaders.
- Participate faithfully in the overall life and mission of CCBC.
- A born-again Christian with a life and ministry consistent with the biblical qualifications in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.
- Agreement with CCBC's statement of faith and constitution, and a commitment to the authority of Scripture and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Able to preach and teach clearly in Mandarin and communicate effectively in English.
- Evangelical seminary training is preferred, with an M.Div. or equivalent theological preparation strongly preferred.
- At least three years of pastoral or ministry experience is preferred.
Demonstrated gifts in shepherding, teaching, discipleship, evangelism, and teamwork.
Compensation and benefits will be determined based on education and ministry experience.
