AMS is seeking a dedicated
** Special Education Teacher
** to join our Camelback campus. This role works closely with students, families, general education teachers, and support staff to provide individualized instruction and services aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).## Responsibilities
* Provide specialized instruction and support to students with IEPs based on their individual academic, behavioral, and developmental needs
* Develop, implement, monitor, and update IEP goals in accordance with student needs and applicable requirements
* Differentiate instruction to support students performing at varying academic and developmental levels
* Use student performance data, assessments, and progress monitoring to evaluate growth and adjust instruction and interventions as needed
* Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, services, accommodations, and IEP requirements
* Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), accommodations, modifications, and other individualized student supports
* Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, administrators, and other members of the student support team
* Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, goals, services, and areas of support
* Participate in and contribute to IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and parent conferences
* Establish and maintain a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
* Utilize PBIS and preventative intervention strategies to support students' behavioral and social-emotional development
* Participate in professional development, professional learning communities, and school-based meetings
* Collaborate with school and network teams to continuously improve instructional practices and student outcomes## ##

Minimum Qualifications
* Arizona State Certification in Special Education
* Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education
** OR
* * a Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least two years of K–8 teaching experience
* Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, progress monitoring, and special education services
* Ability to differentiate instruction and provide individualized support based on student needs
* Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and documentation skills
* Commitment to supporting Title I, multilingual, and diverse student populations
* Ability to successfully complete required background checks and obtain/maintain an
