Job Summary /Basic FunctionThe Department of Psychology at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position (#120490) at the rank of assistant or associate professor in industrial-organizational psychology. The start date for the position is August 1, 2027.
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate I-O courses, including courses that contribute to the department's broader teaching needs (e.g., general psychology, basic statistics, social psychology, or research methods), supervise student research and theses, and develop a research program. Areas of I-O specialization are open. We have the #1 nationally ranked M.A. program in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and a strong undergraduate major in I-O psychology.
Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to support the MTSU Center for Organizational and Human Resource Effectiveness.
A terminal degree in industrial-organizational psychology or a closely related field with at least eighteen (18) graduate hours in psychology is required by the appointment date.
Other DesirablesApplicants with evidence of effective teaching, strong quantitative skills, evidence of an active research program, and applied experience will be given special consideration.
