General Statement of DutiesCodeRVA is a regional high school with 15 partnering school divisions. The mission of CodeRVA Regional High School is to prepare a diverse population of students for college and careers in computer science through personalized, integrated, and applied learning. CodeRVA Regional High School provides an innovative learning environment that uses blended and project-based learning to develop students’ self-management skills while integrating academic content, agile workplace methodologies, and internship experiences that provide a pipeline of critical thinkers prepared to enter college or Richmond’s growing tech sector.
- Uses Reynolds Community College Canvas platform and instructional materials to deliver in-person instruction to students
- Takes attendance daily and maintains accurate records.
- Maintains accurate student academic records.
- Maintains order within the instructional setting in accordance with school guidelines regarding student behavior management.
- Communicates regularly and professionally with students and staff.
- Use Google products (Documents, Sheets, Slides, etc.) with proficiency.
- Ensures compliance with existing applicable federal and state statutes and local policies, regulations and guidelines related to public schools.

Additional Information
Experience in teaching or other educational settings (high school, community college or college/university settings) is preferred.
The selected candidate must also be approved by Reynolds Community College using their internal criteria.
THE TEMPORARY HIRING PROCESS IS HANDLED BY THE PRINCIPAL AT THE SCHOOL LEVEL.
THIS POSITION PAYS $1100 PER CREDIT HOUR.

Must have a master’s degree or 18 Graduate Credits in one of the following subject areas:
- History (to teach Dual Enrollment HIS 121 United States History to 1877 for Fall 2026, a three-credit class)
- For the 2026-27 school year there is one section held Monday through Friday in the morning from 8:50-9:52 AM. The first day of classes is August 24, 2026, and the last day is November 13, 2026. Students are high school Juniors.
- History (to teach Dual Enrollment HIS 121 United States History to 1877, a three-credit class)
For the 2026-27 school year there are two sections held during "J-Term", Monday through Friday from 8:50 AM - 2:56 PM. The first section would meet from 8:50 - 10:58, then a break and the second section would meet from 12:48 - 2:56. The first day of classes is November 16, 2026, and the last is January 14, 2027. Students are high school Juniors. - For the 2026-27 school year there is also one Spring 2027 section held Monday through Friday in the morning from 8:50-9:52 AM. The first day of classes is January 19, 2027, and the last day is April 22, 2027. Students are high school Juniors.
- Music (to teach Dual Enrollment MUS 121 Music In Society, a three-credit class)
- For the 2026-27 school year there are two sections held during "J-Term", Monday through Friday from 8:50 AM - 2:56 PM. The first section would meet from 8:50 - 10:58, then a break and the second section would meet from 12:48 - 2:56. The first day of classes is November 16, 2026, and the last is January 14, 2027.
