Position OverviewThe Feinstein School of Education and Human Development ( FSEHD ) at Rhode Island College prepares educators, counselors, school psychologists, wellness and exercise science, and youth development professionals who positively impact schools, communities, and the lives of children, youth, and adults. The FSEHD is committed to excellence, equity, inclusion, community engagement, and preparing highly qualified professionals throughout Rhode Island and beyond.
The FSEHD invites applications from qualified professionals interested in serving as adjunct faculty teaching content, practicum, or seminar courses and/or supervising student teachers or interns across its undergraduate and graduate programs.
Adjunct faculty may be assigned to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise clinical experiences, or facilitate seminars.
Department of Educational Studies – Programs- Secondary Education
- English, Mathematics, or History/Social Studies
- Foundations of
Education:- Introductory to Teaching ( FNED 101) and Learning
- Schooling for Social Justice ( FNED 246)
- World Language Education
- Teaching undergraduate or graduate content courses.
- Teaching practicum, internship, or seminar courses.
- Serving as a college supervisor.
- Supervising student teachers or interns in PK-12 settings or counseling, youth development, or wellness and exercise community organizations.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Dean of the FSEHD .
Required Qualifications- Relevant professional experience in the field.
- Appropriate licensure, certification, or credentials, where applicable.
- Experience working with diverse learners and communities.
- Strong communication, mentoring, and supervisory skills.
- Doctorate Degree preferred.
The employee is not exposed to known adverse environmental conditions.
