Services are fully virtual or hybrid with occasional in-person trips.
Why Virtual TVI- Flexible hours based on your preference, ranging from 5–30 hours/week, with the ability to flex up or down throughout the year as needed
- Competitive pay: $60–$70/hour, covering all work performed, including sessions, prep, documentation, meetings, and day-trip travel
- Paid staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional resources
- A genuine team environment involving regular collaboration with fellow TVIs, not isolated contract work
- Support to get licensed in additional states, with licensure expenses reimbursed so you can grow your caseload and your reach
- Provide direct and consult TVI services per students’ IEPs (virtual or hybrid)
- Conduct assessments using provided protocols, tools, and templates
- Write, revise, and update IEPs and progress reports per district policy
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Virtual TVI systems
- Attend IEP, 504, Child Find, and triennial review meetings as needed
- Collaborate with educational teams, parents, and students
- Respond to emails/calls within 1 business day during school hours
- Communicate proactively with your Virtual TVI supervisor on any issues
- Active state certification/licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (must maintain valid TVI license for the entire contract term in the states where you are providing service)
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a TVI preferred
- Experience providing TVI services across assessment, IEP development, and direct instruction, preferably with some remote instruction experience
- Reliable internet, computer, and virtual platform proficiency
- Professionalism and strong communication skills
- Willingness to become licensed in additional states as caseload needs grow (licensure expenses reimbursed)
- Availability during the school day (this position is NOT for anyone who holds a full-time job)
