Central Montessori Academy is excited to be growing! We are opening a second Pre-Primary classroom in January 2027 and are seeking a warm, collaborative, and dedicated Pre-Primary Montessori Teacher to join our community.

Our Pre-Primary program serves children ages 3–6 in a thoughtfully prepared Montessori environment designed to foster independence, curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

The Pre-Primary Teacher will help create and maintain a beautiful, peaceful, and engaging Montessori classroom while supporting each child’s academic, social, emotional, and developmental growth.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and maintaining an authentic Montessori environment for children ages 3–6
• Presenting Montessori lessons and materials based on individual student readiness and interests
• Observing students and documenting their development and progress
• Supporting children in developing independence, concentration, grace and courtesy, and responsibility
• Establishing a warm, respectful, and consistent classroom community
• Communicating regularly and professionally with families
• Collaborating with fellow teachers, specialists, and school leadership
• Participating in staff meetings, professional development, school events, and the broader CMA community
• Maintaining all required licensing, training, and professional documentation

Preferred qualifications include:

• Montessori credential for Early Childhood/Primary (ages 3–6) from AMS, AMI, or another recognized Montessori teacher education program
• Experience working in a Montessori 3–6 environment
• Bachelor’s degree or applicable teaching credentials
• Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and child development
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• A commitment to creating an inclusive, respectful environment for children and families

We also welcome applications from candidates who are currently completing Montessori training or experienced early childhood educators who are interested in pursuing Montessori certification.

Central Montessori Academy is a Montessori school serving children from Toddler through Upper Elementary in Cincinnati, Ohio.
