Guitar Shed – Atlanta, GA

We’re looking for exceptional music educators who see teaching as both a craft and a profession.

Guitar Shed serves 500+ students every week, and we’re committed to creating one of the most inspiring, welcoming, and professionally run music schools in Atlanta. Our teachers play a huge role in making that happen. They are mentors, musicians, and leaders in the room.

Who This Is For

You’re a great fit for Guitar Shed if you:

  • Teach guitar, piano, violin, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, or voice and have experience teacehing in a music school
  • Are exceptionally strong on your instrument
  • Come prepared and have a clear plan for every lesson
  • Run structured, engaging sessions with intention
  • Know how to connect with and manage a room, especially with kids ages 5–12
  • Communicate confidently and professionally with parents
  • Show up early, prepared, and ready to contribute
  • Welcome observation and feedback as part of professional growth
  • Take ownership when something isn’t working and look for ways to improve

What We Expect

At Guitar Shed, our teachers:

  • Conduct structured, full-length lessons
  • Track and communicate student progress
  • Contribute to recitals, performances, and community events
  • Participate in meetings and professional development
  • Observe and be observed as part of ongoing growth
  • Maintain high standards for communication and conduct
  • Complete a background check

Instruments

We offer instruction in:

Guitar Piano Voice Violin Drums Bass Ukulele Banjo Mandolin Fiddle

Multi-instrumentalists are especially welcome.

Experience with early childhood music or group classes is also a plus.
