Secondary Area Field Manager

• Manageandsupervisetheschoolfoodserviceprograminaccordancewithfederal,state,andlocal requirements.
• Maintaincurrentknowledgeandenforceall Federal,State,and Localrequirementsasitpertainstothe Dietary Guidelines for School Nutrition Programs.
• AdheretopolicyonUSDAprofessionalstandardsandmaintainaccuratetrainingrecordsforassigned staff, ensuring full compliance.
• Overseesupervisionofsecondaryschoolsandmanagers assigned.
• Cohesivelyworkwith Secondary Manager sand Registered Dieticianonmenus ,program innovation, and marketing promotions.
• Collaboratewithelementaryfieldmanagersand Food&Nutrition Servicesofficestaff.
• ParticipateinsitevisitstoensurecompliancewithUSDA,ISBE,anddepartmentguidelines.
• Coordinateeffortswith Food Safety Coordinatoronall HACCPpoliciesandprocedures,ensuring that the commissary and elementary schools are in 100% compliance with policies/procedures.
• Support the Food&Nutrition Services Administratorsonall SEIUmatters,including performance evaluations, grievances, training, interviewing, and adhering to policies set forth in the district's employee handbook and SEIU contract.
• Facilitatemarketingandpromotionaleventstoincreaseparticipation.
• Abilitytomanageday-to-dayoperationsatmultiple sites.
• Provideoversightanddailysupervisionforsummerprogramming.
• Collaborate with Human Resourcesforhiringandonboardingofapplicants .
• Establishandmaintainpositiveworkingrelationshipswithbuildingadministrators.
• Activelyparticipateinmonthlymanagerorleadershipmeetings,webinars,andvideoconferencesand provide ongoing professional development for staff.
• Collaboratewithsecondaryschoolmanagersonmonthlyoperatingreports,inventory management, and financial goals.
• Establish and implement annual secondary school manager goals and performance reviews. Provide coachingandleadershipasneededwithappropriatedocumentationandadheringto

• High School Diplomaor GED required.
• Must possess a valid Certified Professional Food Manager Certification, previously known as a sanitation certificate.
  
  Certificateshallbeobtainedbythestartofthesecondschooltermofemployment.
• Earnand/or maintain
  
  School Nutrition Associationcertificationlevel1orhigherwithinthefirstyearof  employment.

• Thisisatwelve(12) monthfull-time position.
  
  Salaryandbenefitsasestablishedbythe Boardof Education.
• Mustcompleteall Food Service and District -mandatedGCNtutorials,monthlysafetytraining,and department-sponsored training per USDA requirements by their due dates.
• Attendallmeetingsandtrainingsasrequired.
• The full salary range for this position is $45,257.00 - $67,340.00. Our typical practice is to hire in between the minimum and midpoint ($51,417.60)

Experience/Knowledge
