French Teacher

Linsly seeks qualified candidates for a long-term substitute position for French 1-5, beginning approximately October 12th and extending through the conclusion of the school year, approximately May 30, 2027.

The successful candidate will be considered full-time faculty for the duration of the year,and responsibilities will include teaching 5 French classes, having advisees, and other duties as outlined during meetings.

Preferred applicants will meet the following requirements:

• Have teaching experience in a high school or middle school language classroom.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have a background teaching an advanced-level course.
  • Possess or be close to completing a Bachelor's Degree in secondary education or a Bachelor's Degree or minor in French.

The applicant should be able to demonstrate success in the classroom and have a desire to work in a school with small class sizes where hard work and individual attention are emphasized. They should also possess an ability to develop lesson plans that use innovative teaching methods to create a student-centered, engaged, and supportive classroom environment.
