Assistant/Associate Faculty Position in Kinesiology - Department of Kinesiology and Public Health Job Status

The Department of Kinesiology and Public Health (KPH) is now accepting applications for an Assistant/Associate tenure-track faculty position for the B.S. in Kinesiology program to begin in August 2027.

• Provide instruction in Kinesiology on a variety of subjects in the traditional undergraduate program, academic advising, and mentorship of students in their faith and future careers. Expertise movement science and strength and conditioning (e.g. Scientific Principles of Health and Fitness, Strength and Conditioning Program Design, Measurement and Evaluation in Kinesiology and Health, Leadership in Sport and Human Movement and related course work).
• Serve as fieldwork coordinator for strength and conditioning program (National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
• Demonstrate excellent communication, accountability, and initiative, along with a strong Christian commitment and interest in the integration of faith with learning.
• Provide future strategic leadership in the department.
• Participate in course, curriculum, and program development, including contributing to the pursuit of program accreditation and strategic planning for graduate-level program growth.
• Work collaboratively with diverse colleagues, students, and community members.
• Participate in campus, university, and community service activities.
• Participate in student recruitment and retention activities.

Seeking candidates who:

• Hold an earned doctoral degree (Ph.D. preferred, Ed.D. considered) in Kinesiology, Exercise Science or similar area.
• Maintain current certification/licensure in the area of expertise. Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist® (CSCS) through NSCA is required.
• Articulate leadership experience that effectively inspires others and balances energy focused on current needs and future growth.
• Display commitment to high-quality instruction in an in-person or online student-centered environment.
