The Computer Science Department at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh invites applications from qualified applicants to teach courses in Computer Science, Computer Security and/or Information Technology.

Successful candidates will be committed to excellence in teaching in an institution dedicated primarily to undergraduate education. They will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of and sensitivity to diversity and gender issues, as SUNY Plattsburgh is committed to ensuring that its graduates are educated to succeed in an increasingly complex, multicultural, and interdependent world.

Masters degree required. Successful candidates will have demonstrated an ability to work effectively and collegially with faculty, staff, and administrators.

The College’s 256-acre campus sits on the edge of the city’s downtown area. Plattsburgh is home to a variety of arts and cultural venues, including the nearly 100-year-old Strand Theatre. Our active waterfront location features a small town feel combined with the advantages and opportunities of a larger urban center. It is an emerging home to microbreweries, wineries, community supported agriculture and more. The campus is within easy traveling distance to Montreal, Quebec;
Lake Placid, N.Y.; and Burlington, V.T.
