The Arabic Baptist Church of Boston is affiliated with the Baptist Churches of New England, a Southern Baptist Convention affiliate. We are a growing Christian church that serves people of Middle Eastern background.
We are seeking an English-speaking Youth Pastor. The primary focus of this position is to lead and disciple middle school and high school students in a growing Multicultural congregation with many families of first and second generation Mideastern background. The Youth Pastor will work alongside the pastoral staff to develop weekly youth meetings, Bible studies, Sunday School, retreats, conferences, mission experiences, and other activities that encourage spiritual growth.
He will endeavor to build meaningful mentoring relationships, support parents, and maintain a safe ministry environment. The youth pastor works directly under the leadership of the Senior Pastor and is accountable to him and the church elders. The candidate must have a strong personal faith in Jesus Christ, a distinct faith journey and commitment to Southern Baptist beliefs and the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.
The candidate preferably should have experience working with youth, with good communication, organizational skills, and leadership ability. He is expected to be part of the congregational life and to participate in public worship and broader church ministry and activities.
This is a full-time position, and compensations are based on experience and qualifications. A Master of Divinity is desirable but not a must. An undergraduate is required of a Christian education, and similar degree. The church is willing to support an educational path to earn an M.Div. or Masters of Christian Education.
