Type of Position

Graduate Assistant with the Reading department working 20 hours per week/300 hours per semester.

$8.34 per hour

The Graduate Assistant will use cutting edge technology in researching various topics and databases.

• Review research studies and articles about current best practice.
• Summarize and synthesize information gathered through reading literacy articles and other sources
• Develop bibliographies of variety of literacy-related topics
• Create PowerPoint presentations based on current literacy topics
• Assist professors in creating materials for class

• Effective communication skills, research skills and computer skills.
• Criminal background clearance.

• Enrolled in Graduate Reading program or other gr education program.
• Knowledge of teaching of reading and related topics.
• Ability to work independently on short and long-term projects
