Starting Salary Range: $35.00 per hour

Position Summary: WDCE is seeking an experienced Curriculum Developer to design engaging, hands-on academy curricula for a full-day, five-day summer camp model serving students in grades 4-9. The Summer Academy model emphasizes project-based learning, career exploration, creativity, leadership development, teamwork, and real-world application. Academy themes include arts, technology, trades, healthcare, entrepreneurship, environmental education, community leadership, and culture.
The Curriculum Developer will create complete curriculum packages that enable instructors to deliver high-quality, student-centered learning experiences across multiple academy pathways.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education,Curriculum and Instruction,Educational Leadership,Youth Development, or related field.
• Experience writing K-12 curriculum.
• Experience with project-based learning.
• Experience developing hands-on learning experiences.
• Experience working with grades 4-9 students.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching certification.
• STEM, arts, healthcare, entrepreneurship, leadership, or workforce education experience.
• Experience creating interdisciplinary curriculum.
• Experience training instructors.

• Develop academy learning objectives and outcome measures.
• Build engaging project-based learning experiences that culminate in a student showcase, expo, gallery, competition, or presentation.
• Ensure curriculum reflects student interests, career pathways, workforce trends, and experiential learning practices.
