OVERVIEW The Program Director of Global Health at Drexel University leads core administrative and operational functions that support global health initiatives and immersive learning opportunities. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Global Health and Human Rights, this role oversees the WASH Graduate Certificate program and supports multiple areas of university program coordination, student engagement, and international collaboration. The position combines strategic program oversight with day-to-day operational management.
Responsibilities include financial planning, communication with stakeholders, student support, onboarding processes, and coordination with university offices. The role also contributes to global development and experiential learning initiatives that expand access to immersive educational experiences.
- Lead overall global health office functions at the university
- Oversee immersive learning experiences connected to the WASH Graduate Certificate program
- Manage the Drexel University and Desert Research Institute WASH Capacity Building Program
- Coordinate financial planning and administrative operations for the program
- Support stakeholder communication across university and external partners
- Manage student registration processes and student records
- Coordinate onboarding for international scholars and adjunct faculty
- Conduct graduation checks and liaise with university offices
- Support global immersive training operations
- Assist with the Dornsife Global Development Scholars program
- Support student recruitment activities for global experiential learning opportunities
- Coordinate pre-departure training for students
- Support risk management and safety compliance processes
- Contribute to diversity-focused engagement strategies within immersive global learning initiatives
- Travel nationally and internationally as required
- PhD or doctorate in Public Health, Education, or International Development
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
