Children and Youth Pastor

Bride Ministries Church in Katy, Texas is seeking a called, Spirit-led Children and Youth Pastor to build and lead a thriving Children and Youth Ministry from the ground up. This is a foundational, full-time, in-person role responsible for establishing the vision, structure, volunteer teams, curriculum, and weekly programming that will shape the spiritual development of the church's children and youth from birth through age 16.

The Children and Youth Pastor will recruit and lead volunteer teachers, lead dedicated intercession for children and youth, adapt Apostle Daniel Duval's teaching material into age-appropriate curriculum, and establish a weekly youth service for students ages 10-16. This individual will report directly to Pastor Christian Duval and work closely with church leadership to ensure the next generation is discipled, equipped, and rooted in Christ.

• Stand up a new Children and Youth Ministry from the ground up, including its vision, structure, systems, and long-term growth plan.
• Establish and maintain a weekly youth service for students ages 10-16, including planning, teaching/preaching, worship, and follow-up.
• Develop age-appropriate ministry pathways spanning nursery, toddlers, children, preteens, and youth (ages 0-16).
• Set annual ministry goals, calendars, and budgets in partnership with Pastor Christian Duval and senior leadership.
• Plan and lead special events such as camps, retreats, Vacation Bible School, outreach nights, and family events.
• Recruit, screen, train, schedule, and shepherd volunteer teachers and classroom leaders for all children's and youth environments.
• Build a healthy volunteer culture rooted in service, accountability, encouragement, and spiritual growth.
• Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development to volunteer teams, including regular training meetings.
• Ensure appropriate volunteer-to-child ratios are maintained at all times for safety and engagement.

• Translate and adapt Apostle Daniel Duval's teaching material into age-appropriate curriculum for children and youth.
• Develop and oversee weekly lesson plans, small group discussion guides, and supporting activities.
• Ensure all curriculum and teaching is biblically accurate, doctrinally sound, and aligned with the church's mission and statement of faith.
• Personally teach and/or preach at youth services and children's programming as needed.

• Lead dedicated intercession and prayer initiatives specifically for the children and youth of the church.
• Cultivate an atmosphere of worship, prayer, and encounter with God that is appropriate to each age group.
• Disciple children and youth toward salvation, baptism, and ongoing spiritual maturity.
• Serve as a consistent, Christ-centered mentor, modeling godly character and biblical values.
• Ensure the overall spiritual development and well-being of young people ages 0-16 within the church.

• Partner with parents and guardians to reinforce spiritual growth and discipleship at home.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding programming, events, and their child's spiritual progress.
• Collaborate with pastoral staff and other ministry departments to integrate children and youth into the life of the church.
• Represent the Children and Youth Ministry in church-wide services, meetings, and events.

• Implement and enforce child protection and safety policies, including background checks, check-in/check-out procedures, and supervision ratios.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, registrations, incident reports, and volunteer files.
• Manage the ministry's budget, supplies, curriculum resources, and classroom environments.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable child-safety laws and church child-protection policy.
