Extended Term Substitute - Grade 5

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Provide classroom instruction to 5th grade students as outlined in lesson plans during the absence of the regular teacher.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
• Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
• Follow established school and classroom routines and procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance as a role model for students.
• Remain at school for the entire school day unless otherwise directed by the building principal.

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 30 college credit hours.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with students, staff, and the community.

• $125 per day for licensed teachers for the first 15 days, then adjusted to teacher rate of pay plus retroactive pay starting on the 16th day.
• $120 per day for substitutes holding a valid Indiana Substitute Permit for the first 15 days, then adjusted to $175 rate of pay plus retroactive pay starting on the 16th day.
• Salary commensurate with education level and experience.
