Assistant Professor - Marketing

The Business Department of Queensborough Community College is seeking applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor faculty position in the field of Marketing. We are interested in candidates who have professional or teaching experience in Principles of Marketing and/or in related fields of Digital Marketing, Marketing Research and Integrated Marketing Communications.

Reporting to the department Chairperson, the candidate will perform teaching and research in areas of expertise and share responsibilities for committee and department assignments, performing administrative, supervisory and other functions as may be assigned.

As a community college in the CUNY system, our diverse student population primarily take general education and lower division courses often for university transfer. Contractual teaching load is 24 contact hours for the academic year: summer optional. Faculty on Assistant Professor tenure track receives reassigned time to pursue scholarship.

A conferred Ph.D. in Marketing or a closely related field from a college or university that is institutionally accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Educati
on is required at the time of application. Applicants who earned their degree from an institution outside the United States must submit a course-by-course credential evaluation from a recognized foreign credential evaluation agency with their application.

Demonstrated professional experience in the field.

Prior undergraduate teaching experience (in-person, hybrid or fully online) in marketing and related topics.

Experience with curriculum development, program assessment, service on committees.

Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Brightspace, etc.,teaching in various modalities.

Experience teaching diverse student populations.

A record of recent publications and/or scholarly research and grants.

Recognition of achievements (ex. Awards).

Experience teaching diverse student populations.

Salary $82,384 - $89,777. Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
