Job DescriptionProvide specialized instruction to students with multiple disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Design and implement developmentally appropriate, differentiated lessons aligned to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards Utilize evidence-based strategies to support students' academic, communication, social, and life skills development Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, case managers, and general education staff Foster a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment tailored to individual student needs Maintain accurate student records and participate in IEP meetings and progress reviews Communicate regularly with families to promote home-school collaboration
Qualifications & Requirements:
Valid New Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) certification or Teacher of the Handicapped certification Experience working with students with multiple disabilities preferred Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Ability to implement assistive technology and alternative communication methods as needed.
Salary in accordance with the established HTEA Salary Guide: BA, Step 1, $64,365.
