Anticipated Hiring Range: $105,000 to $110,000 (Dependent upon qualifications)

The Department of Civil Engineering and Construction Management at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) is seeking a tenure-track faculty member in Civil Engineering at the rank of Assistant Professor

The successful candidate will teach Civil Engineering courses, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and have research interests in Civil Engineering and/or Structural Engineering or a related field. The successful candidate will be required to provide advisement to undergraduates and supervision of graduate students. Active and effective participation in curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation, and other departmental activities are required.

Participation in professional student organizations may be required.

In addition to teaching, the position requires weekly office hours, attending faculty meetings, participation in assessment of student learning, and service to the department, college, and university. The successful candidate may be required to teach on weekdays, evenings, weekends, and/or online and will be held to the standards and requirements of the college and department in which he/she/they is/are housed for recommending tenure and promotion.

Required Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution. ABD (All But Dissertation) candidates will be considered but must complete the doctoral degree by August 19, 2027.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
