Program Design

The Horowitz Andreessen Academy is a playground for an incredible Experience and Program Designer
.

This is a highly creative role where you’ll design the program, events, spaces, and experiences that make the Academy the best possible experience for every student. Not by hosting one-off events, but by thoughtfully designing the entire student journey from beginning to end.

HAA is where students will need to lock in and build - but they also need to have a vibrant social life. Our goal is to expose the students to wildly creative and unique experiences that would never be possible at a traditional college or university - and that I honestly can't even dream up right now, but you can.

• Find extremely unique people to speak or run workshops at the Academy - some for students only, some open to the broader public

• Design hackathons, galas, and offsites for young builders and the wider tech community

• Build partnerships with major SF cultural institutions like SF MOMA, the Exploratorium, the de Young Museum

• Create a small "museum of technology" within the space so students and guests have an awesome landing place when they arrive

• Design icebreakers, factory tours, evening adventures, pop-ups, and art events - and just as importantly, build the culture and conditions for students to organize these themselves

• Build and manage a small team (at least one FTE) so this experience scales beyond what you alone can produce

P.S. This role is specifically Experience and Program design for extracurricular activities. There's another role focusing entirely on curriculum called "Dean of Education".
