Immediate Position Opening

Ellis School (PK-8th Grade) is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Special Education Teacher to support students in grades K8 with a variety of learning, developmental, behavioral, and academic needs. The ideal candidate will have experience providing specially designed instruction (SDI), differentiating instruction within the general education setting, and managing special education cases in accordance with New Hampshire special education requirements.

The Special Education Teacher will work closely with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and school administrators to develop and implement individualized supports that enable students to access the curriculum, make meaningful progress, and participate successfully in their school community. Experience with multiple educational disabilities is ideal.

• NH Certification-Special Education Teacher (K-12) or a Statement of Eligibility
• Serve as a special education case manager, coordinating the development, implementation, monitoring, annual review of IEPs, and completing LEA training.
• Maintain accurate and timely special education documentation in compliance with New Hampshire and Federal Special Education requirements.
• Collect, analyze, interpret progress-monitoring data
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, needs, and services.
• Academic Evaluations to determine eligibility for SPED.
