The Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust, located in New York City, is now accepting applications for the Fall 2020
Holocaust Educator Internship
.

Eligibility: undergraduate and graduate students looking for paid internship opportunities.

What makes this internship unique? This is a
paid internship
and local travel expenses are reimbursed. Interns may choose to work for school credit rather than pay.

The internship
takes place during the school year
, with a nine-day training during the second half of August.
The Final date to receive applications for the Fall 2020 semester is April 6, 2020.

Who are Holocaust Educator Interns?Students who are studying in the New York metropolitan area, are currently enrolled as undergraduate or graduate students in accredited degree programs, and will continue to be enrolled in fall 2020.Students who have a desire to learn and teach about the Holocaust.

Students who have a desire to work with teenagers in a classroom and museum setting and gain hands‑on teaching experience.

Students who are flexible, willing to travel locally, and are able to work well both independently and in a highly collaborative environment.

Students from any background or area of study are encouraged to apply. No previous teaching or Holocaust study is required, although both of these are desirable.

Students will
work in both the Museum and metropolitan-area public schools

The Jewish Art Salon (JAS) is a 501.c.3 non‑profit organization. It is a global network of contemporary visual artists and art professionals. Established in 2008 and based in New York City, JAS has over 400 members and over 2,000 participants. Through its 60+ shows, events and collaborations in the US, Europe and Israel, JAS has reached approximately 30,000 individuals since its inception.

JAS provides important programs and resources, and develops lasting partnerships with the international art community and the general public.
