DescriptionThe Chemical Engineering Department in the College of Engineering at the University of Washington invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor with an anticipated start date of September 2027. Specific rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications as generally described in UW’s Faculty Code Section 24-34.

The successful applicant will be expected to create innovative andhigh-quality research and teaching programs that contribute to an inclusive and equitable campus environment.
The base salary range for this position at the following ranks will be:
Assistant Professor ($12, per month), Associate Professor ($16,000 – $20,000 per month), Professor ($20,000 – 30,000 per month), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Compensation associated with this position may also include other components such as administrative salary supplement or limited commitment of summer salary..
Applicants for this position must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Applicants must have earned a PhD or foreign equivalent in chemical engineering or a related field, by the date of appointment.
