** Job Description
**** Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availabilit.
**** Responsibilities of a Part Time Machining Instructor include but are not limited to:
*** Lecture and or Lab instruction for Machine Tool Technology (MTT) courses coving topics such as:
* Metrology* Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
* Machining* CNC Milling and Turning (Lathe)
* CADD and Additive or Subtractive Manufacturing
* Demonstrate and assist students with lab procedures and ensure adherence to safety precautions
* Develop syllabi and course materials.  Instruct students in accordance with curriculum standards and objectives
* Independently evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes
* Make necessary provisions to meet learning needs
* Provide advisement to students
* Attend staff meetings and recruitment activities as requested

* Required Qualifications:

*** Associate of Applied Science degree in Machining or related engineering field
** OR
* ** 5 years of relevant industry experience
*
* Preferred Qualifications:

** In addition to the minimum requirements, the department encourages applicants with the following credentials to apply:
* 10 years work experience in Machining and or Manufacturing or Industrial Technologies.
* 2 years experience teaching in Career and Technical Education.
* Leadership/ Management Experience
* Experience teaching on-line/hybrid classes, Canvas
* Experience creating college curriculum
* Experience developing an industrial lab in a college setting, such as a Machining, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Technologies
* Experience working in diverse multicultural situations
* Community college or technical school teaching experience
* Excellent presentation skills including strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to motivate students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles
* Computer literate in MS Office
* Excellent planning and organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines
* Industrial Certifications such as NIMS, NC3
*
* Schedule:

** MTT courses will be primarily taught at the CSN Henderson Campus, and the City of Henderson Debra March Center of Excellence, in-person and may be scheduled during the day, evenings, and or weekends.
** Salary Information:**$925.00 per credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
