  • Carlisle Reformed Presbyterian Church is a conservative, confessional PCA church of about 250 members of all ages, about a third of them children. We are located in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, a medium-sized town that is home to the U. S. Army War College, Dickinson College, and the Penn State Dickinson School of Law, with Messiah University in close proximity. We gather every Lord's Day for morning and evening worship that is reverent and joyful, focused on glorifying and enjoying God through the ordinary means of grace, and mid-week we come together for a congregational prayer meeting.

By God's grace we are a church of people who believe the gospel, and who seek to keep the gospel at the center of all we do, and as the motivation and power for a life of humble obedience to God.

    Our Mission Statement

We exist to glorify and enjoy the triune God of Scripture through worship, nurture, and witness.

  • We worship God corporately, privately, and in all of life.
  • We nurture growth in Christ in ourselves and in each other.
  • We witness by reflecting and proclaiming Christ in our community and around the world.
  • We have a Sunday school program (age-graded for children, combined for adults), men’s and women’s ministries, small groups, and church-wide social gatherings, but the beating heart of our fellowship is the informal one-anothering that happens before and after our worship services and in our homes on the Lord's Day and throughout the week, as we seek to be involved in each other’s lives and have meaningful relationships across the generations.

Children are a vital part of our body, and are present in the worship services, and will sometimes pray and share prayer requests at our mid-week prayer meeting. Family worship in the home is encouraged, as well as the regular practice of the spiritual disciplines. Corporate worship includes hearty congregational singing, plenty of praying, the reading of the Word (a chapter at a time), the preaching of the Word (sequential exposition throughout the year), communion twice a month (first Sunday in the morning, third Sunday in the evening), and periodic baptisms.

We seek to promote a culture of personal evangelism and passion for global missions. And we encourage the reading of good books, especially the Reformers and Puritans, as well as modern authors such as J. I. Packer, R.

    C. Sproul, Mark Dever, and Kevin DeYoung. Our desire is to be a congregation that reflects the character of God, that bears the fruit of the Spirit, and that reaches the lost with the gospel that is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.

We seek a summer intern who can work with the Senior Pastor and the Associate Pastor and the Session to equip the members of CRPC to carry out the mission God has given us in His Word.
