About the Position
We are seeking dedicated personnel in to travel from our office in Wurtland, KY to respond to service calls at power generation plants throughout the region. This role involves training to de-slag large utility boilers using explosives. This position offers a rewarding career for those seeking long-term employment with a company that values and retains its personnel. Eligible candidates may have the opportunity to become licensed explosives blasters through our programs.

Key Responsibilities :
- Travel to power generation sites as needed
- Train and operate safely with explosive materials to perform boiler cleaning
- Work in challenging outdoor and industrial environments
- Follow strict safety protocols and procedures at all times
What does it take to work for Groome Industrial Service Group ?
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license.
- No felony or family violence convictions.
- No DWI convictions in the last 5 years.
- Ability to lift 90 pounds.
- High School Diploma / GED Required.
- Reliable transportation required, and must live within an hour of our Wurtland, KY office.
- Willingness to be on call 24/7.
- Must successfully complete a pre‑employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
- Ability to work outside in challenging conditions.
- Ability to climb ladders, scale multiple flights of stairs and traverse confined spaces.
