Position Summary

The High Voltage Planner-Scheduler develops and manages maintenance plans and resource-based schedules supporting High Voltage assets across multiple renewable energy sites. This role ensures maintenance work is properly planned, resourced, scheduled, and execution-ready to improve reliability, workforce utilization, and operational performance. Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Warehouse, contractors, and site leadership, the Planner-Scheduler coordinates maintenance activities, identifies resource constraints, and supports safe, efficient execution of work.

This position will be based at our High Voltage Office, located in Tye, TX.

Main Responsibilities Work Planning & Readiness
  • Develop detailed work packages including scope, labor estimates, procedures, parts, tooling, equipment, vendor support, and safety requirements.
  • Conduct field walkdowns when needed to validate scope, site conditions, and resource requirements.
  • Review equipment history, fault trends, and previous work orders to optimize planning quality.
  • Ensure all work is fully planned and execution-ready before scheduling.
Scheduling & Resource Coordination
  • Maintain a rolling 6-12 week maintenance schedule across multiple sites and work groups.
  • Coordinate activities among Operations, Maintenance, High Voltage teams, Engineering, contractors, vendors, and support organizations.
  • Balance priorities based on equipment criticality, risk, workforce availability, materials, outages, budgets, and operational needs.
  • Continuously adjust schedules and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize labor utilization.
Materials, Tooling & Vendor Readiness
  • Ensure required parts, materials, tooling, vehicles, and equipment are available before scheduled work.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Warehouse, and site personnel to resolve shortages and resource constraints.
  • Escalate potential issues early to prevent schedule impacts.
Work Management Systems (Maximo)
  • Serve as the area subject matter expert for Maximo and mobile work management tools.
  • Create and maintain work orders, job plans, preventive maintenance programs, standard work packages, labor estimates, and material requirements.
  • Support backlog management, work prioritization, schedule compliance, and continuous improvement of work management processes.
Performance & Continuous Improvement

Monitor schedule execution and analyze planning and labor variances Identify causes of delays and execution challenges, including parts, tooling, vendor, resource, or scope issues Use historical performance data and technician feedback to improve future planning accuracy and scheduling effectiveness Track and communicate key planning and scheduling metrics to leadership Reliability, Compliance & Safety Support risk-based maintenance prioritization and equipment reliability initiatives Coordinate required clearance, switching, and tagging activities Assist with NERC and other regulatory compliance requirements Promote strong safety, environmental, and procedural compliance throughout the planning and scheduling process.
